Blossoming Family's Childbirth Classes follow the biodynamic philosophy of birth in which birth is viewed as a healthy and beautiful family event.

Educational tools include the use of videos, artwork, group and partner discussions, games, and free writing.
Evidence based topics you can expect to learn more about in the childbirth classes:
Nutrition through pregnancy and post-partum.
Comfort techniques for pregnancy and labor.
The Anatomy and Physiology of pregnancy and birth.
Interventions commonly used in labor and ways to communicate your desires and needs effectively with caregivers.
Some alternative methods of common interventions are explained.
Common fears associated with birth and exploration of your own unique fears.
Art surrounding the issues of birth and parenthood.
How to work with the hormones of labor and post-partum.
The last two classes focus on new parent topics such as:
Post-partum depression prevention and information.
Breast-feeding information and how to establish a good start with breast-feeding.
Information about parenting such as green parenting, attachment parenting and co-sleeping (which means sleeping close to your baby).
Partner strategies for pregnancy and post-partum: How to effectively communicate with eachother and maintain a close relationship through the transition to parenthood.
Art activities focused on the new family you are starting.
